Northern Rivers Media Pty Ltd (NRM) publishes premium, high-gloss monthly community magazines that cater to hyper-local audiences within a 15km radius of each masthead.

 

These magazines showcase profile stories about fascinating residents and associations while amplifying the voices of local organisations, including service clubs, sporting groups, schools, and community clubs. They also deliver updates from councils, Federal and State representatives, and promote community events and milestones. Approximately 95% of the content is unique to each magazine, ensuring that stories and features are tailored to the specific area and not replicated across other editions in the Wave magazines.

 

Each publication is led by a dedicated Editor embedded within the local community, developing and maintaining long-standing relationships with contributors and residents. These Editors work closely with the Managing Editor, who oversees the delivery of timely, engaging, and community-focused editions each month.

 

NRM magazines are distributed free of charge, with monthly circulations ranging from 3,000 to 7,000 copies per magazine. Collectively, the three magazines have a circulation of 15,000 copies and an estimated monthly readership of approximately 36,000 people, with each magazine being read by an average of 2.4 individuals.

 

Designed to be a premium product, the high-gloss format ensures these magazines have a longer shelf life than disposable newsprint publications. They are distributed at key retail locations and community hubs, remaining accessible throughout the month. In addition to print, each magazine has a dedicated website where readers can access and share the latest editions online.
